From Software’s Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice won’t feature online multiplayer, as the company says that the game is “very much it’s own thing”, despite the overwhelming popularity with online multiplayer games today.
From Software’s Yasuhiro Kitao said that Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice won’t feature the popular mode, adding that his team may revisit idiosyncratic-style multiplayer when they address future titles.
“Of course, we at From, we love those online elements,” Kitao said, during an interview in Game Informer.
“We love to create our own characters just as much as everyone else. We hope players are looking forward to something in the future where we might go back to that, but for now, Sekiro is very much its own thing.”
Although it’s a bit of a bummer, the game will finally have a Pause button, something that players have longed for.
The game will officially arrive on March 22nd for Playstation, Xbox, and PC.
