Sony Blocked Destiny 2 Character Transfers Between Platforms

Sony is getting some backlash after it locked certain Destiny 2 content to the Playstation 4.

On the latest episode of Kotaku’s Splitscreen podcast (via Reddit), Jason Schreier said that Sony had blocked character transfers between platforms because it wanted people to associate Destiny with only the PS4.

It’s another unfortunate example of the stubbornness of Sony, who seems to be on an island when it comes to cross-platform play, with Microsoft, Nintendo, and more, all open to finding a resolution, for the sake of the gaming community.

Bungie is now in full control of Destiny, so perhaps there can be a renewed push to get this issue resolved with Sony, once and for all.
