Gearbox Software is getting a jumpstart on letting players of the Borderlands franchise who plan on getting their hands on Borderlands 3, an opportunity to earn some in-game loot on Twitch.
On May 1st, players can watch popular streamers play the upcoming game for the first time and collect loot alongside them as part of the new Echocast Twitch Extension.
By enabling it you can inspect the streamers’ weapon loadouts, skill tree abilities, and inventories while they’re live.
It also allows you to link your Gearbox Shift account to Twitch which allows you to grab some loot for yourself whenever the streamer opens up a rare treasure chest.
You will have to be quick, as you will only have 30 seconds to join these rare chest events when the streamer finds them, and once you opt-in, you’ll be entered into a randomized drawing with all the other viewers of the stream.
The winner will have a chance to select one item from the chest, and it’ll go directly into their in-game mailbox in Borderlands 3.
