Bungie Talks Destiny 2: Shadowkeep Delay

Bungie has everyone excited for the arrival of the latest DLC for Destiny 2, Shadowkeep, despite a delay.

Instead of arriving on September 17th, like it was initially expected to, it will now arrive on October 1st.

However, the team at Bungie is ensuring they get things right with the latest release.

“Team health is really important to us,” Scott Taylor, Bungie production director said, during an interview with VG247.

“We want to continue to be proud to work at Bungie because it’s a great place to work. Being able to balance that was better for the game, but it was also neat to see how the team reacted. Like ‘oh, I can breathe a little bit, I can step back and figure out how we’re going to close’.

“We’ve never done that before, it was awesome to see how supportive the community and the fans were and internally people were able to close a little more sane.”

While the delay is only two weeks, Taylor says a lot can be done during that time span.

“People are like, ‘what can you do in two weeks?’” Taylor said of the slight delay and what can be done.

“A lot. You can do a lot when you’re focused, and you have a team that’s engaged and feeling like they’re rested – so we’re proud of that choice and that people received it so well.”
