Blizzard Entertainment is gearing up to unveil the follow up to it’s smash hit Overwatch at BlizzCon this week and the hype train is full steam ahead for Overwatch 2,
According to ESPN’s Rod Breslau, a new logo, new game modes, maps, heroes and PvE mode are set to be unveiled during the presentation this week, beginning on Friday.
According to Kotaku back in June, Blizzard was working on a PvE focused game in Overwatch 2, and had assigned resources from other areas in their company, such as a canceled StarCraft game using the Overwatch engine.
Additionally, more heros and in game items are set to arrive in Overwatch 2, along with a four-player story based experience that is set in Rio de Janiero, a deviation from Overwatch’s traditional 6v6 gameplay approach.
“Push”, the game’s first new mode since 2015 and set on a new map based in Toronto, is scheduled to be unveiled alongside Assault, Control, Escort, Hybrid.
