Minecraft Rolling Out Cross-Play on Playstation 4

Cross play is finally on it’s way to Minecraft players on the Playstation console.

Minecraft’s Bedrock version will be arriving on Playstation. Bedrock is the update that unified all versions of the game across Windows 10, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and mobile, however Playstation was not available until now.

Bedrock also introduces a unified store, cross-platform servers, cross-save and more, including full cross-play multiplayer between the different platforms. It’s a big step for Sony, who had been extremely resistant to cross-play despite other platforms advocating for it.

Players will need to link their PlayStation Network account to their Microsoft account, which is something you can do through the game.

The update is free to all Minecraft players.
