Unreal Engine 5 to Be “Fully Supported on Both PS5 and Xbox Series X”

Unreal Engine 5

Last week, we got an impressive glimpse at what the Unreal Engine 5 is capable of and it left many within the industry, fans and developers, excited for what the future holds. Now, we have some additional details as to what we can expect moving forward.

According to Epic Games boss Tim Sweeney, “The Unreal Engine 5 demo on PlayStation 5 was the culmination of years of discussions between Sony and Epic on future graphics and storage architectures,” Sweeney wrote. “The Nanite and Lumen tech powering it will be fully supported on both PS5 and Xbox Series X and will be awesome on both.”

Sweeney went on to say that high-end PCs will also be supported, adding that “features for scaling the content down to run on current generation platforms using traditional rendering and lighting techniques” will be made readily available.
