A new James Bond game is on the way, courtesy of IO Interactive, who announced it is working on ‘Project 007, a new Bond game. IO Interactive is the studio behind the highly-regarded Hitman franchise of games, among others.
“Earn your 00 status in a brand new James Bond video game to be developed and published by IO Interactive,” the rundown reads. You can check out the video below.
“IO Interactive, in collaboration with MGM, EON Productions and Delphi announced today that they are developing and publishing the very first James Bond origin story with the working title Project 007,” the team stated in an official press release.
“Project 007 will feature a wholly original Bond story exclusively as a video game,” the release continues. Whether we’ll be seeing a famous actor’s Bond likeness or a new face for the infamous agent remains to be seen.
“It’s true that once in a while, the stars do align in our industry,” says Hakan Abrak, CEO of IO Interactive, “Creating an original Bond game is a monumental undertaking and I truly believe that IO Interactive, working closely with our creative partners at EON and MGM, can deliver something extremely special for our players and communities.
