There is plenty of hype building for the arrival of the satire space exploration adventure game Revenge Of The Savage Planet which has some buzzing that the game could end up being one of the gems of 2025.
The game is already making light of the downfall of Google Stadia.
According to the official synopsis: “Ex Kindred Aerospace CEO Martin Tweed, from the critically acclaimed Journey to the Savage Planet, has returned from space with an important announcement about the upcoming sequel launch of Revenge of the Savage Planet. The new adventure developed by Raccoon Logic will blast off on Xbox in May 2025. Revenge of the Savage Planet is an upbeat, satirical action adventure Sci-Fi. Jump, shoot and collect your way across vibrant alien worlds, uncovering new gear and upgrades, while discovering various hidden secrets.”
“We bought the IP back from Google and [former publisher] 505 Games, and we’re excited” Alex Hutchinson, creative director of Revenge of the Savage Planet said, according to PCGamer. “It was all a bit tiring, overall. I think at the end of the day, everyone wants to make games, but of course, you collide against the realities of the business.”
“You’ve seen that a lot in the games industry over the last few years, but you have to take [the process of making games] seriously and earnestly and understand that it’s not magi” he added. “With this game, we’ve stayed tiny as a studio; we’re still only 30 people, which gives us a sense of stability, and that’s really nice.”
A brand new gameplay trailer dropped earlier this month and is full of humor and fun:
