Apparently, Facebook is ready to jump into the ever-popular and growing streaming industry and set to compete with the likes of Twitch, Mixer, and YouTube.
According to a report from Tech Crunch, the popular social network platform has started the rollout of a dedicated Facebook Gaming tab in the main navigation of Facebook’s app in an effort to help people find more games, streamers, and the gaming related groups that they follow.
Upon clicking to tab you can find a feed of content that points to instant games you can play with friends, live streaming content you can watch instantly from your favorite streamers, and content from both esports teams and game publishers.
While it may, on the surface, appear as a big threat to other streaming platforms, Facebook’s credibility, and trust with it’s members has taken massive hits in recent years.
It is good, however, for streamers to find yet another outlet to share their gaming and streaming content.
