Apex Legends paid for some influencer marketing and it seemed to do a lot in the way of generating some solid results.
According to Reuters, Fortnite streamers Tyler “Ninja” Blevins may have earned around $1 milllion for promoting the launch of Electronic Arts’ battle royale shooter Apex Legends, which has proved to be major competition for Epic Games’ smash hit Fortnite.
According to The Verge, EA commented on the reports, saying that the company does not “comment on details of our agreements with any of the content creators that we worked with at the Apex Legendslaunch.”
Apex Legends paid other popular content creators to stream the February 4th launch of Apex Legends in an effort to generate buzz and hype for the game, and the efforts seem to have paid off handsomely, at least at the start.
