Turtle Beach, known for their high-end gaming headsets and accessories, has agreed to acquire PC accessory company ROCCAT in a deal worth as much as $19.2 million in total cash, stock, and earnout payments.
Turtle Beach is mostly known for it’s console-related products and with the acquisition of ROCCAT, who specialize in PC accessories, it allows Turtle Beach to jump head first into the PC realm with plenty of momentum and a proven product line.
Doing so makes Turtle Beach a direct competitor to HyperX.
“This is a dynamic and strategically important deal for Turtle Beach,” said Turtle Beach CEO Juergen Stark in a release. “We are adding a complementary portfolio of PC gaming mice and keyboards, a skilled PC accessories team, and a highly synergistic distribution footprint.”
