FACEIT, a tournament organizer, has announced that it is launching a one-year competition taking place on Quake Champions called the Quake Pro League.
The Quake Pro League will kick off on July 25th at QuakeCon 2019 and will run until August 2019, and will see 20 selected players, 10 from North and South America along with 10 from European and CIS countries, compete over the course of a year on FACEIT’s competitive platform and will be live-streamed from FACEIT’s studio in London.
“Quake is part of the bedrock of FACEIT” Michele Attisani, Co-Founder & CBO of FACEIT said. “All Founders of the company were heavily involved in the Quake III competitive scene, and it’s the title that first ignited our passion for esports.
“Competitive Quake birthed one of the very first online esports communities, and we’re thrilled to be a part of this groundbreaking new league and to help shape the future of this iconic esport. We have huge plans for the broadcast from our innovative studio in London and we can’t wait to bring fans around the world a whole year of exhilarating Quake competition.”
Additionally, FACEIT will host offline minor and major events over the course of the year, which will take place on pre-determined dates of November 2019, February 2020, May 2020, and also at QuakeCon 2020.
