The International Esports Federation (IEF), the South Korean-based non-profit organization established in 2008, has officially announced that Colombia, Kazakhstan, Turkey, and Ukraine have officially joined as members.
The federation operates on behalf of its member nations in order to promote esports internationally, and it’s mission is to increase it’s membership, assist in the establishment of new national esports associations, assist in global standardization of regulations, help in the sectors of training and education through its International Esports Academy, and aid through hosting the Esports World Championship.
“For Colombia and for our region, achieving this membership is a giant step to demonstrate our skills and commitment to Esports” FEDECOLDE said. “We are a country with enormous discipline and players who will give their all in the next 2020 IESF Esports World Championship, Eilat, Israel.”
