OverActive Media’s esports brand MAD Lions has officially announced a partnership with popular hamburger franchise GOIKO which will see the two brands collaborate on a variety of content for the brand’s social media during the 2021 LLWC.
“Partnering with GOIKO is an indication of the progress we’ve made as a club” Pedro Belaunzaran, Director of Global Partnerships (EU) at OverActive Media said in an official press release. “We’re thrilled to have a well-known Spanish brand as our first partner in the QSR category and to be able to introduce GOIKO to the esports and entertainment industry. GOIKO has a fresh, fun brand very much aligned with our approach at MAD Lions.”
“We want 2021 to be the year GOIKO emerges as a ‘gamer’ brand and joining MAD Lions provides us with the perfect opportunity to level up” Juan Manuel Sánchez, Chief Marketing Officer at GOKIO added. “We’ve tested and learned through some branded content pieces, followed by a ‘GOIKO-branded’ map in Fortnite and the response was fantastic. Nerd Street Gamers Announces Partnerships with Special Olympics Colorado and Texas
Nerd Street Gamers has officially announced partnerships with Special Olympics Colorado and Special Olympics Texas, which will focus on providing the organization’s athletes with access to esports and also supporting the development of ‘competitive experiences’.
“At Nerd Street we want to help nurture the future of esports as a welcoming environment for all, and our partnership with Special Olympics Colorado and Special Olympics Texas is a testament to this commitment” John Fazio, CEO of Nerd Street Gamers said in a statement.
“Over the years, we have seen the positive impact esports can have on individuals with disabilities and hope to both provide a positive, fun experience for participants while demonstrating the opportunities that lie within the industry for long-term success.”
“Sitting through the Nerd Street Gaming coaches webinar and training allowed me to see how easy it is to start getting athletes and volunteers excited for esports” Chris Darnell, Coach for Special Olympics Texas commented.
“I’m going to use this training to help get other volunteers interested in esports and help build esports teams in our less populated areas around Texas. This program has the ability to spread rapidly in Texas and I can’t wait to see it happen. The more I talk to athletes and coaches from around the state, the more they seem excited to start.”
Alpine Esports Announces Partnership with Philips Hue
Alpine Esports has officially announce a partnership with smart-light brand Philips Hue, who will provide connected lighting for the team’s training facilities and the drivers’ domestic base during the upcoming season of the F1 Esports Series Pro Championship.
“Esports is constantly exploring new areas in which to gain performance to give advantages over the competition” Alpine Esports Head of development Richard Arnaud said in an official announcement. “The sharpness of vision has already been identified as a real differentiator, and lighting is a big contributor. We are very excited to work with such a big name as Philips Hue to increase our understanding of this sphere.”
Atlanta Reign Moves On From Edison, Ir1s Priot to 2022 Season
Earlier this week the Atlanta Reign officially announced that they would be parting ways with DPS Kim “Edison” Tae-hoon and flex support Kim “lr1s” Seung-hyun before the 2022 season kicks off, and now the esports players are free agents.
