RECEIVE EXCLUSIVE WEAPONS CHARM BY WATCHING RAINBOW SIX EXTRACTION STREAMS THIS WEEK!

Rainbow Six: Extraction was released by Ubisoft this week, they announced that between Jan 20, 12:01 AM CET to Jan 26, 11:59 PM CET, viewers of Rainbow Six Extraction will enjoy a chance to earn Twitch Drops.

Get your exclusive weapons charm! Viewers will be able to receive an in-game Corrupted Charm after 2 hours watched from a selection of Twitch streamers’ channels. Watch time will be carried from one channel to another.

How Drops Work

Register your account by heading over to https://drops-register.ubi.com and link your Twitch account to your Ubisoft account. You will then be prompted to opt into the drops feature. Please, make sure that your account is linked before you tune in to the broadcast.

All drops will need to be claimed manually. You can track all the Drops progression on the Inventory page https://www.twitch.tv/drops/inventory. When the Drops condition is reached, you will need to click on the “Claim” button in the Inventory page to claim the reward. Please note that the “Claim” button will be available only 24 hours after the end of the campaign.

The item will be delivered to your in-game inventory during the 48 hours after the Drops claim.

Twitch Drops are activated for all five platforms the game is currently available on: PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S and Stadia. You do not currently need to own Rainbow Six Extraction to be able to earn drops. If you have your Twitch account linked to your Ubisoft account, and your Ubisoft account has been linked with your console accounts or PC, then you will receive the items when you login for the first time after installing.

Labor Board Says Activision Blizzard Illegally Threatened Staff

The United Sates National Labor Board says that Activision Blizzard, the publisher behind such games as Call of Duty and Overwatch, illegally threatened staff and enforced a social media policy that conflicts with workers’ rights, according to Bloomberg.

This yet another negative mark on the company, and comes following a complaint filed with the NLRB filed against Activision Blizzard that claims employees were being threated for discussing wages and working conditions via the company’s internal Slack channel.

If Activision Blizzard does not settle this issue, the company will receive a formal complaint from the National Labor Relations Board’s regional director in Los Angeles.

Take-Two Interactive Acquires Zynga

Take-Two Interactive has officially completed it’s acquisition of mobile studio Zynga, following shareholder approval from both parties being completed last week.

With the acquisition, Take-Two now owns all outstanding shares of the company for approximately $12.7 billion, in what that company is describing as a “pivotal step” in their plans to expand their mobile side of offerings..

“We are thrilled to complete our combination with Zynga,” Take-Two chairman and CEO Strauss Zelnick said in an official announcement. “As we bring together our exceptional talent, exciting pipelines of games, and industry-leading technologies and capabilities, we believe that we can take our portfolio to another level of creativity, innovation, and quality.

“We are eager to continue building an unparalleled portfolio of games that will reach broader markets and lead to continued growth for this next chapter of Zynga’s history” Zynga CEO Frank Gibeau said.

Gloomhaven Heading to Consoles in 2023

Popular tabletop game ‘Gloomhaven’ will be making it’s highly anticipated debut on consoles sometime in 2023, according to an announcement made on the Asmodee Digital account on Twitter last week.

According to the rundown: “Whether you are drawn to Gloomhaven by the call of adventure or by an avid desire for gold glimmering in the dark, your fate will surely be the same. Gloomhaven, the digital adaptation of the acclaimed board game, mixes Tactical-RPG and dungeon-crawling.”
