TikTok is taking another, very obvious step, in it’s path towards a deeper immersion in the gaming side of content creation as they will be launching the beta version of a subscription model similar to Twitch on Thursday, according to an announcement from the company.
According to TechCrunch, the new program will allow viewers to purchase subscriptions to the live streams of TikTok content creators that they wish to support, and doing so will provide fans access to additional, exclusive perks such as a subscriber-only chat, creator-specific emotes, and exclusive badges.
The program, called Live Subscription, is set to launch in beta on May 26th.
Here is the official TikTok videos announcement:

TikTok Live Subscriptions will be “comparable” to Twitch payment packages, which start at $4.99 a month, and include tiers that scale up to $24.99 a month.
Creators will have to be 18 years or older to either offer or purchase a paid subscription, and Creators need to have at least 1,000 followers to offer a subscription.
At this time, the program is only invite-only.
