xQc Discusses Massive Wager in Twitch Gambling Streams

Amazon’s Twitch streaming platform has seen a big surge of interest and viewership in their gambling streams, from slot machines all the way to poker streams, people are getting into the action, for better or for worse.

It’s a costly endeavor that can come with a high risk, high reward element.

Félix ‘xQc‘ Lengyel, who runs one of the more popular Twitch streams on the platform, recently discusses his own journey into the gambling side of Twitch, which has seen him receive some criticism with some claiming he is promoting gambling, as Bloomberg article wrote.

Nonetheless, it hasn’t stopped xQc from getting into the action, and he hit back at the criticism during a live stream on Sunday.

xQc claimed that the report spread misinformation to create a narrative rather as opposed to reporting on the truth, specifically pointing to a line in the article; “In May, Lengyel said the promotion code he shared on Twitch brought $119 million to Stake.’ That is not what that amount is” he said.

“That is massive stupid, and I never promoted the code either.”

xQc pulled up the figure in question, taken on August 7th, demonstrating that xQc has wagered $685,075,984 with 656,376 bets, 63,057 wins, and 583,405 losses since May.
