Twitch Experiences First Outage of 2023

twitch

The Amazon-owned live streaming platform Twitch is experiencing it’s first outage of the new year, with sitewide issues taking down a number of the most popular Twitch streams making it appear as if they have deleted their accounts, when they have not.

The Twitch outage is affecting both desktop and mobile users and those on both Android and iOS are currently seeing “error loading followed channels” when opening the official mobile app for Twitch.

According to the latest status update provided by Twitch: “We have received reports of impacted services. This could manifest in chat not working, login difficulties, search impaired, etc. We’re looking into the issue.”

The official Twitch Support account on Twitter has also issued the following this afternoon: “We are investigating an issue preventing multiple areas of Twitch from loading.”
