As previously reported, the authorities were doing an investigation into the death of the cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of “Rust” in Santa Fe County in October 2021.
Balwin stated that he wasn’t aware that the gun he fired that was used on the set had a live round inside of it. Alec Baldwin recently reached a settlement with the family of Hyna Hutchins after she was killed on the film set when Alec Baldwin fired the gun.
Authorities had investigated to determine how a live round got into the gun that Mr. Baldwin was practicing with, why the crew members who inspected it on set failed to notice, and why the gun fired by Alec Baldwin killed Halyna Hutchins.

In New Mexico, there is no room for film sets that don’t take our state’s commitment to gun safety and public safety seriously.”
An attorney that spoke on behalf of Halyna Hutchins’s family, thanked the sheriff’s office as soon as the charges were announced.
“We want to thank the Santa Fe Sheriff and the District Attorney for concluding their thorough investigation and determining that charges for involuntary manslaughter are warranted for the killing of Halyna Hutchins with conscious disregard for human life,
