Twitch is honoring the female streamers during Women’s History Month and will be doing something special on International Women’s Day on March 8th, according to Variety.
The popular streaming platform will be showing love to the female operated Twitch streams and will feature its “favorite women streamers,” ranging from competitive gamers to creative art streamers by featuring them on the front page of the website all month long.
For the second straight year Twitch will team up with 1000 Dreams Fund (IDF) to raise money for women who are trying to get involved in the streaming industry and STEM initiatives. In 2018, the partnership raised $45,000.
The program is available for women streamers who are Affiliated or Partnered with Twitch and the fundraising efforts are being organized through Tiltify.
Additionally, on March 8th Twitch will host a special edition of Twitch Weekly, followed by an hour-long panel hosted by the Twitch’s Anna Prosser and Head of Diversity & Inclusion Katrina Jones, and they will be joined by a number of women from the tech, gaming, and streaming industries.
