The Overwatch League recently held it’s first ever homestand weekend, which saw 8 teams play over two days in Dallas, Texas, and the results, from a Twitch viewership perspective, are looking strong.
Despite only 2 days of action in comparison to a typical 4-day event, only 8 teams participating in games, and a power outage that halted action for around 40 minutes, the numbers didn’t suffer, clocking in the most-watched days during Stage Two thus far on Twitch.
The weekend churned out 2.4 million hours of live coverage on the main Overwatch League channel and it’s alternative language broadcasts as well.
