FACEIT Hosting 1st Apex Legends Esports Series

FACEIT has officially announced it’s ‘FACEIT Pro Series: Apex Legends’, which is the first officially licensed Apex Legends esports series that features professional players only.

In the newly announced series, 16 esports organizations will put their brand new Apex Legends rosters in play as they battle it out in a points-based series across $5,000 tournaments throughout this summer.

An additional $10,000 seasonal prize pool will also be available for the highest scoring team in the series.

Among the teams competing are Cloud9100 ThievesTSMTeamquidCLG,Gen.GMisfitsImmortalsNRGComplexityDignitasFnaticG2 and T1.

The first event takes place at 2pm EST on May 31st and runs for 4 hours.

“This is the first event where these titans of the esports industry can really show what their Apex Legends rosters are made of and we’re thrilled to play a part in establishing the competitive ecosystem for one of the most exciting titles in the world right now,” Michele Attisani, Co-Founder & CBO of FACEIT said (h/t Esports Insider).

“We’ve created a dynamic setup which will split the broadcast between the teams streaming online and the team and broadcast talent in our studio in Santa Monica for a seamless viewer experience for fans.”

TGS Esports has officially announced the creation of their full-service management company Discover Management, which is intended to “help esports influencers, content creators and players realize their full value”.

“At TGS we are working with creators on a daily basis” TGS Esports Co-founder and CEO Spiro Khouri said in an official press release. “One constant we have dealt with is that creators love creating but may not have the experience with brand deals or legal matters. We’re helping creators legitimize their career path and guiding them through that process. At the same time, we’re able to connect our partner brands with creators to create mutually beneficial relationships.”

2021 M2 World Championship Taking Place in Singapore

Moonton has officially announced that the 2021 Mobile Legends Bang Bang World Championship will take place in Singapore in January 2021, and will be held offline and behind closed doors.

Riot Games Announces Live Media Will Broadcast Legends of Runeterra

Riot Games has officially announced that Wisdom Gaming Group will handle the broadcasting in North American for their Legends of Runeterra esports competition events running into 2021. Wisdom Gaming Group will produce Legends of Runeterra broadcasts under its Giant Slayer brand.

“We’re excited to facilitate tremendous competition with our Legends of Runeterra Seasonal Tournaments in North America” Chris Greeley, Riot Games’ Director of Esports and Commissioner of the LCS said in an official statement. “Based on Wisdom and Giant Slayer’s proven history of accomplishments, we’re confident they’ll help us deliver something truly special to players over the course of multiple tournaments and broadcasts.”
