There continues to be fallout from the now infamous Artifact fiasco, as Twitch aims to tighten up security, especially when it comes to any new accounts and/or Twitch streams created on the streaming platform.
Twitch had initially locked down new accounts, initially suspending them from live streaming, in an effort to better vet new users and combat spammers and/or purposely abusive/trolling accounts from streaming, but they have since restored the ability.
Now, Twitch will be enforcing two-factor authentication for new users before they are able to live-stream.
We take what happened very seriously and are making additional changes to prevent this kind of coordinated activity on our service in the future. Thank you all for your patience.
