Another week, and another disgusting story of a streamer apparently abusing a pet during a video/stream, this time on YouTube.
Popular YouTuber Brooke Houts is currently under fire for accidentally posting an unedited clip of a video in which she appears to slap, force her dog to the ground, and spit on the dog.
You can see a disgusting clip of the action here:
haha hilarious prank @brookehouts !!! xD pic.twitter.com/kjvmOnln7e

Houts posted the following statement, and it probably won’t make anyone feel any better about the situation.

Houts ends her statement saying she isn’t defending her actions, when the statement clearly is a defense of them.
It’s time that platforms take a stand against disgusting actions such as these, and while Twitch turned the other way when a streamer abused their cat on stream (because, $$$), YouTube, hopefully, can make a stand against people such as this, who not only act this way towards animals, but put a lot of energy into justifying and defending their actions.
